CLAD PLATE APPLICATIONS
GCC specializes in the manufacturing of headers, vessels and structures made of roll-bonded clad plates. Clad plates are cost effective in thick walled, high pressure, corrosive applications typically seen in the chemical and petrochemical industry, oil & gas production, oil sands tailings & refining, food industry, desalination plants and flue gas desulphurization units. Roll bonded clad plates are the economical alternative to expensive high-alloy solid plates. The mechanical properties of the base material and the corrosion resistance of the cladding material result in an optimum combination.

CLAD PLATE ADVANTAGES
Very thin clad wall thicknesses and thus less cost compared with solid high alloyed plates. Smooth non-sticking finisch as compared with overlay welding. High quality homogeneous bonding between the two alloys.

LOW ALLOYED BASE LAYER
Pressure vessel steels, structural steels and fine grain structural steels are used with convenient weldability and workability.

HIGH ALLOYED CLAD LAYER
High corrosion resistance clad like austenitic and ferrite stainless steels, nickel and nickel-based alloys, copper and copper-nickel-alloys as well as titanium.
