GCC is an innovative company, with the head office and production facility based in Zierikzee, the Netherlands. At GC Clad Parts BV we design, engineer and produce components made of clad steel. By combining specific alloy steels GCC produces components in double or triple layer clad material with optimal layer properties, such as FEDUR® and TRIDUR®. Depending on client requirements, the layers of wear resistant and chemical/corrosion resistant alloys can be adapted to cope with extreme conditions, accommodating wide temperature and process criteria. With also Sales offices in Northern America, GC Clad Inc. and France, GC Clad SA, we are operating on the international market place. Our products are typically used in dredging, slurry, mining and chemical environments worldwide. COST SAVINGS BY COMBINING ALLOYS
![]() GCC’s objective is to offer our clients technically innovative solutions, using our cost saving products through combining the correct alloy steels in the most economic layer thickness. Substantial savings on operational costs can be achieved through using our high wear resistant clad products which results to extended lifetime, less downtime and reduced maintenance. In other applications substantial savings can be achieved by applying thick low value base alloys for their mechanical properties and weldability, combined with thin layers of high value alloys. For over 18 years our products FEDUR® and TRIDUR® have been used extensively and have convincingly proved our cost saving objective. Fedur is the product name for our high wear resistant clad product It is made up of two layers, metallurgical bonded by a special hot rolled bonding method. The base layer is a highly weldable structural carbon steel, the other exposed layer is a hardened carbon steel with a maximum hardness of 910 HV (66 HRc). The layer distribution ratio can be varied to suit specific applications. The special characteristics for Fedur include weldability, easy welding reparability and ultrasonic thickness monitoring capability. Fedur can be used as flat plate or formed into pipes, elbows, fittings and several other special shapes and parts. Tridur has the equivalent properties of Fedur, but consists of three layers. Tridur has a highly weldable structural quality inside layer and two outside layers with a hardness of 66 HRc (max.), giving high wear resistant properties onto both sides. Each layer thickness can vary and be adjusted to suit specific conditions. Tridur is used in applications such as industrial knives, gate valves, screens and wear parts in general.GCC manufactures end products to suit specific applications. Therefore early consultation in the design process is the key towards achieving optimum product performance at the lowest costs for the end user. Creating innovative technical solutions is our trademark; design and production methods are continually developed and improved to meet our worldwide customer demands. Our extensive production experience combined with in house FEM design and engineering facilities result in innovative quality solutions for unmatched performance at competitive costs.
GCC's NEN-EN-ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management system has been approved by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance. Pipe line systems, elbows and branches, fittings in Fedur for dredging vessels can be manufactured under Bureau Veritas Rules for the classification of steel ships. Fedur spools for slurry and tailings lines for mining are in accordance with ASME B31.3 and B31.11. The Fedur welding procedures are qualified as per the ASME Section IX standards.
